Lakeside Youth Baseball - Response to Covid-19

UpdatedMonday March 23, 2020 byLYB.

In an effort to maintain your Lakeside Youth Baseball Program as a safe haven for our youth and community, we have followed the Federal, State, and Local recommendations for combating the COVID-19 pandemic. LYB has suspended the preparation for our 2020 Spring Season, starting Friday, March 13, 2020 and we anticipate the suspension will end on Friday, and practice to begin April 13,2020.

LYB will continue monitoring the situation and following the guidance and recommendation of our Federal, State and Local Health Agencies, Henrico County recommendations as well as our Babe Ruth organization. We’ll continue to provide you updated information as it becomes available to us, including any possibility of being longer than two weeks. Please continue to stay abreast of the situation by being well informed and follow the guidelines of our health agencies.

Be safe and please follow the following preventive steps:

  • Stay home if you are sick, except to get medical care.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow.
  • Throw used tissues in the trash.
  • Immediately wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available, clean your hands with a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
